The feeling of summer is in the air in St. Catharines and the Niagara Region

Enjoy our Festivals and Events throughout the summer months…they are plentiful!
Start with the Art of Peace Festival, on June 7, 2008 with a leisurely day in Montebello Park enjoying art, music, spoken word, and more. Visit and follow the links through 2008 Program.

The Niagara Grape &Wine Festival New Vintage Niagara Celebrations, June 14 to 22, 2008 hosts more than 130 Ontario wineries at one of Canada’s premier spring events, as they present the first taste of Niagara’s award-winning wines. Producers from across the region offer their fresh crops of berries, strawberry preserves and treats, and a variety of locally grown produce during the annual Strawberry Festival on June 21, 2008. There are children’s games, food vendors, crafts for the kids, community displays and entertainment for all ages, hosted in the Market Square, Downtown St. Catharines call 905-688-5601 ext.1503 for information.

Downtown St. Catharines is host to many festivals and events:

Classic Car Show, July 12th, (over 200 fantastic classic and custom cars along the streets of downtown), S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival, Sunday, June 29th (One of Canada’s largest, one day, all ages independent music festivals), Free concerts in Montebello Park, every Sunday & Tuesday night from July 6 to August 31st, Annual Rotary Ribfest, August 1 to August 4th in Montebello Park.

If your interest is the supernatural, experience our Full Moon History & Haunts Walks explore the history and haunted tales of Downtown St. Catharines, tours run each full moon at 7pm throughout the summer and fall. While in Downtown St. Catharines visiting the Farmers’ Market (open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) year round enjoy lunch at the Out to Lunch Summer Concert Series, July 3 to August 28, 2008 (Tuesday and Thursday, 12 noon to 1pm) Enjoy the light sounds of local musicians over lunch. Pick up your lunch from one of the many local merchants at the Market Square or brown bag it!

So many festivals…you won’t be able to decide which one to attend…Ontario Sausage Festival, in July featuring Grammy winner Walter Ostanek, and Music in the Park – Slovenian Festival, in August. Dancing in outdoor pavilion, sausage tasting, outdoor BBQ. Refreshments and food available. Dragon Boat Races, July 26, the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, August 5 to 10th and two days of JAZZ –featuring the Niagara Jazz Festival, August 16 & 17.
