Niagara-on-the-Lake - Ontario

Less than 20km downriver from Niagara Falls where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario is the small, attractive village of Niagara-on-the-Lake . Surrounded by vineyards and wineries, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a well preserved 19th century town where development is curbed to maintain the historic charm.

Well known for the theatrical George Bernard Shaw Festival, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a hotspot for theatre and classical music. The tree-lined streets are often filled with tourists during the summer months wandering in and out of the many curious little shops along Queen Street .
