Torngat Mountains National Park of Canada

The Torngat Mountains National Park Reserve is a large park in the Labrador Peninsula region, measuring 9600 square kilometers. It was recently set up as a park and as a matter of fact, it is the first national park in the area. The wildlife is abundant in the park. There are species of caribou, polar bears, golden eagles, falcons, seals and lots others. The offer for activities is broad as well. You can go hiking on the numerous trails that were created, or you can try kayaking or scrambling. The scenery is also unique, presenting the impressive Saglek Fjord, numerous islands and islets, remnant glaciers and the Torngat Mountains. The name of the park is Torngat, which means place of the spirits.
